Ojon Rare Blend Oil
TRESemme Keratin Smooth Mask

While my skin care regime is going through an overhaul, my hair care routine has been nailed. I've got this one down, it's perfect and I'm not going to mess with it because my hair looks totally dreamy. I don't blow dry, heat style, or even wash my hair with hot water, and I've even ditched brushing it because I want hair like Rapunzel's.

Pureology Super Smooth Shampoo & Conditioner
Pureology is hard to buy off the shelf so if I'm running low I just grab a bottle of L'Oreal EverRiche Nourishing & Taming instead. There is very little difference in regards to the end result and the only noticeable change is one smells like lovely roses (Pureology) and the other smells a little biscuity (EverRiche). I double wash because when you don't brush your hair for four days you start realising there is a genuine risk of finding a small animal nesting inside. I usually only wash my hair once it starts looking greasy (natural oils are good for your hair guys, don't judge), which can take a few days so I like to make sure it's super clean when I finally get around to it.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth Mask
I alternate between using the matching Pureology/L'Oreal conditioner and applying the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Mask. I leave the conditioner or mask on for as long as possible and go about all the other fun stuff you get to do while in the shower. Alternating between the two works really well since the mask works to repair and hydrate the hair, while the standard conditioner helps keep it that way.

Ojon Rare Blend Oil
I've raved about how this product is my hair's BFF and I can't recommend it enough. If you suffer from dehyrated, frizzy, or dry hair you need this in your life. While my hair is still wet I apply it to my mid-lengths and ends, the oil nourishes, eliminates frizz, helps it to dry quicker, and also aids with styling. To create natural looking waves in my usually poker straight hair, I scrunch the ends upwards directly after applying the oil, and leave it to dry naturally. I also roll about on in while I'm asleep because I find that really helps with the whole unkempt look I've got going on.

Phyto 7
I tend to use this when my hair is looking a little dry or dehyrated, or if I need something to make it chill out when the frizz has started to take ahold. This leave-in conditioner absorbs into the hair preventing frizz, static, and split ends while rehydrating. I use it every few days to help maintain a healthy shine.

The Ojon oil looks lovely! I recently picked up the L'Oreal Professional's Mythic Oil and it's doing wonders for my hair x

  2. Love this post. I love to use the ever pure range, and matrix's biolage hair mask for colour treated hair. I only have to wash my hair once a week (or else it gets so dry), so I'm definetly not judging you. I think if more people left their hair for longer, it would be a lot more manageable in the long run.

  4. I'm slowly becoming obsessed with hair masks, and I love that you've got a Tresemme one in here, as I can pick that one up anywhere! This fall switch has left my hair so dry, will definitely have to try a few of these out.

  5. Thanks for the amazing post! I was particularly excited to see you mention ditching the brushing. It's something I have been thinking about lately too so would be great to find out your opinion. Why did you decide to ditch it and what benefits have you seen since?

  6. Glad you found it useful.

I stopped brushing my hair because I noticed my hair was getting frizzy even when I let it air dry, once I stopped brushing it I realised that was the major cause of frizz (not heat styling like I originally thought).

Brushing also caused my hair to snap and break more frequently, now it naturally sheds when I'm in the shower and I only ever brush right before washing (while it's still dry) to make sure there are no tangles in it.

Since following this regime my hair has been growing faster and it's looking healthier. I'd totally recommend dropping brushing and heat styling from your hair care routine.

  7. It is SO GOOD. There are sulphates in it but they are "minimal" and if you switch up your products fairly frequently it shouldn't be a problem.

  9. I wash mine every four days, longer if I can get away with it and I find my hair is much healthier. It gets way too dry otherwise.
