hair oil | foundation | conditioner | brow kit | facial oil | powder

The impending death of current products always leads me to hunt prematurely for some suitable replacements.

Whenever I've tried Lily Lolo products I've never been disappointed so it makes sense to return to what I know works. New products I want to try include the Flawless Matte Finishing Powder and their range of blushers, plus I wouldn't mind picking up some old favourites. Argan Oil is full of vitamins and antioxidants, making it popular to use as a skin and hair treatment. Finding an unbranded, pure Argan Oil is a better option purchasing branded high street products, which often contain very little of the pure oil itself. I've been hunting for cruelty-free replacements for some of my most loved products; the Face Atelier Ultra Foundation in Zero Minus looks like a suitable vegan-friendly alternative for Le Blanc de Chanel. One step I can never do without is filling in my eyebrows, I want to get my hands on a separate brow compact (instead of stealing from my eye palettes) but there are few that are dark enough for me. This ELF Eyebrow Kit looks perfect.. but it always sells out super fast. I've really been letting my hair do its own thing lately and all I'm concerned with is keeping it looking super shiny and healthy; the Sachajuan Leave In Conditioner is super lightweight and specifically designed for thinner hair types. Since I'm not so scared about using facial oils anymore, I'd like to incorporate the Fushi Rosehip Oil into my skin care routine. Rosehip is said to assist with cell regeneration and promote collagen levels, improving skin tone and overall complexion, making it clearer and brighter with frequent use.

  1. The Lily Lolo Blushers are really nice to use I've found. I wouldn't mind giving their mineral foundation a try as I've heard and seen really good reviews on that, I just need to figure out a shade as there are quite a few light ones available.

  2. I love the Lily Lolo foundation; I really wish they would ditch the carmine from their blushers, a lot of the colours I like aren't vegan friendly :((

  3. With the Fushi Rosehip oil I found it a lot heavier than the Triology one, so something to watch out for if your skin doesn't handle rich oils so well x

  4. You see I'm so poor with ingredients, I need to start researching things better. I'm not a vegan but it's nice to know things are as friendly as possible isn't it. I'm going to look up carmine now and see what it is :)

Have you used the Sachajuan Leave In Conditioner before? I've got fine hair that I let do its own thing too, but this means that I have a constant halo of frizz going on. It doesn't bother me enough to resort to straighteners, but if something like this might help I'd consider giving it a go.

  7. No I haven't.. but I have the same thing going on! I have naturally straight hair BUT it isn't frizz-free unless I straighten it.

If I blow dry my hair (which I avoid mostly) or just leave it to dry naturally, I get frizz (probably because I haven't had it cut in YEARS); I have to twist the hair into ringlets and let it dry into waves and then the frizz isn't so bad..

I REALLY want to find something that will get rid of FRIZZ, I'm hoping this is it!

  9. I use coconut oil as a cleanser and I love it!

  10. Ah, OK. I'm kind of just looking for a pure oil because I know a lot of branded oils contain more than just the oil itself, which I want to avoid. Thanks for the heads up!

Let me know how you get on - I've just purchased some of the Lily Lolo concealer AND some of the Natio moisturiser (and this is coming from someone who rarely buys products/never really steps out of her comfort zone on skin-care) on your recommendation, so I'll wait to see what you think about this!

  13. Eeee! I hope you like them! I am so in love with the Natio moisturiser.
Definitely going to pick up the Lily Lolo foundation again - I miss it!

I haven't bought any of these items yet.. I did buy an eyebrow palette online today, but not the ELF one (I got fed up of waiting for it to come back in stock!) I'm still deciding what products to buy first.. I'm such a scrooge when it comes to spending money on luxury items!

My moisturiser is about to run out, & it'd be good to get one with SPF, so hopefully I'll like this one! I've never worn foundation in my life, but I like the sound of the concealer.

I *almost* bought the ELF eyebrow palette too, as I've just been using a Barry M eyeliner pencil to fill mine in for years (make-up is not a priority of mine!), but I figured I should spread out the purchases - your writing totally swayed me, these companies should hire you. ;)

  16. The Lily Lolo foundations are just amazing, best purchase I've made all year. I also have a sample size of the matte finishing powder and it leaves the skin super soft - a little goes a long way.

  20. YES. I love them SO MUCH. Every time I stop using their products I regret it :))

  21. I'd love to try some, but I want to use up my other products first.. so tempting to just buy things though!

  22. i have such trouble finding something suitable for my brows too! they're almost black, but black is too dark, and most browns either aren't dark enough, or too red. i normally just ending up using a really dark eyeshadow.
