The previous studio tour was done six months after moving in, and after twelve months of working in the studio, it's really nice to see how things have changed.

I thought I was really into a minimal workspace but maybe I was wrong. I keep the studio neat and tidy, storing most things out of sight, yet the walls are becoming increasingly colourful with a mix of prints and postcards from fellow creatives and props like crystals, glass trinket boxes, and plants.

I've become really comfortable in this environment; the studio has developed into an awesome little creative space that works perfectly for the shop. After resolving major storage issues, I've found a lovely harmony between form and function.

  12. I love how much natural light you have! It's so hot in Texas where I live, so my house has a solar screens on the windows to keep out the heat, which also keeps out the light, unfortunately.

  13. A beautiful space! I'm struggling with finding the exact "type" of studio I'm best working in. My mind prefers minimalistic but my physical being is totally that of a young art-class mess maker. It's nice to hear that you find your space evolving around you!

  21. Thank you so much. The prints were presents.. but I'm pretty sure they were purchased at the Natural History Museum? I'm certain you could track these down online; I think quite a few places might stock them :))

  22. Your space feels bright and airy. I recently changed my office space from a dark tan to a light and cheerful yellow. it's amazing how much a change in paint color can effect your mood. I now enjoy being in my office while before it just kind of left me depressed.

  29. It gets VERY hot in our apartment, it faces the sun ALL DAY LONG and it's like living in a greenhouse.. so I feel you (although I doubt it gets as hot as Texas!)

  30. I think it's best just to let things happen. I like minimal and neat, which this kind of is.. except it's got a lot more colour than I expected, to be honest. I think because our apartment is quite minimal, it's nice to have somewhere with a bit more colour.

  33. I'm still getting the hang of it, I haven't been able to give it enough time to properly test out as I've been so busy lately but I hope to find some time to play around with it a bit more.

  36. I wish the walls weren't magnolia.. but I'm too lazy to paint it. Maybe sometime in summer when I find a bit of spare time but, to be honest, it doesn't bother me too much. I like adding colour with prints rather than having colour on the actual walls although you're right, colour definitely plays a bit role in creativity.
