I approve of the collection and what a collection it is! ;)

You have some lovely pieces of makeup, some to add to my list :) xx

I love that shu uemura base. :)
ReplyDeleteThe design on your Hourglass blush is stunning - mine looks nothing like that, mostly powder and very little blusher :( also that Tom Ford quad looks beaaaautiful!

Serious makeup envy is on! Great picks Sophie! :-)
ReplyDeleteRussian Red is THE red lipstick, at least in my opinion! Lovely picks! The concealer looks so very light, is that Chantilly?

What's the Shu Uemura base like? I'm looking for a new BB cream.
ReplyDeleteI love the Hourglass blush, I use it every single day!

I really need to get rid of all my excess makeup I never use. This is so much more appealing, and generally just fits my lifestyle more. The one thing I would never be able to get rid of are my lipsticks, though! For general face, however, bring on the capsule makeup collection.
ReplyDeleteDo you own much more makeup than this and then like, rotate it or something? Or is this really about the whole bunch?
Lovely and inspiring, as usual.

Hourglass Ethereal Glow looks amazing!

I have that same Hourglass blush and it hardly turns up on my (pale) skin. It's a lovely, silky powder though so I definitely won't be getting rid of it. I use it as a setting powder whenever I pull it out of my makeup stash.
ReplyDeleteHa, don't be! MAC Russian Red is awesome, such a wearable colour
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)) I really appreciate all the items I own.
ReplyDeleteMe too! It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteI can see that being disappointing especially because this is such a light colour anyway. The Tom Ford quad is stunning, totally worth it.
ReplyDeleteHa, I love my make-up pieces. I don't own much but I make the most of what I do buy :))
ReplyDeleteRussian Red is so beautiful, I find it really comfortable too.
ReplyDeleteThe concealer is Chantilly; I am super pale and this suits me perfectly :))
It's absolutely AMAZING. I wrote a review of it a while back :)) I can't recommend it enough.
ReplyDeleteI love it because it's just so subtle. You can build the colour or use it as a highlighter; it's just perfect.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of the BB Cream, but I do have quite a tan right now (don't even know how that happened) so this might be more of a november product for me.

I have a bit more, but not a lot. I like to keep a small collection, which I use up before replacing. I don't like to double up on unnecessarily products (foundations, mascaras, etc.) and I never buy the same colour products; I make sure I don't double up on eye shadow palettes that have the same shades or blushers of the same hue. My lipstick collection is very modest and, again, I don't double up on colours. I make sure I research products thoroughly before I buy anything so I know it will be right for me before I buy it. I don't like wasting anything.
ReplyDeleteI think it's much better to buy products you cherish and will enjoy using than having a HUGE collection of products. I never felt satisfied when I used to buy make-up all the time but now it's a big deal when I decide to buy something new.
It's super comfortable to wear :))
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore it!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty pale and it shows up as - like the name says - an ethereal glow! Super light on the skin, just a touch of colour. It's lovely when I am wearing bold lipstick because it adds colour to my pale face without clashing with any lip products. But I can see why it could be quite difficult for some to wear, especially depending on the individual blush since they are all slightly different.
ReplyDeleteI love it SO MUCH. It's like a traditional BB cream, evening out the skin tone and making it appear flawless. It works really well as a primer too!
ReplyDeleteRussian Red, always!

Gotcha! I just got in to makeup hardcore about a year ago and went absolutely bonkers buying a whole bunch of stuff without researching it. What a fool I was, haha. I haven't been buying any new products recently because of not being done with anything, but I have a few things I've set my sights on. That way it's what you said, it becomes so much more of a big deal when you can buy something new, and it makes it something to look forward to and be excited about!
ReplyDeleteMine has a lot more white powder in it than coloured powder. Yours is waaaay more pigmented than mine is and that's probably why you notice more colour on your cheeks when you apply it. But still, it's a great powder and that's one of the reasons why I decided to keep mine rather than return it :)
ReplyDeleteRussian red is the best x
ReplyDeleteLove the Hourglass blushers, so pretty! Lovely photograph

That sounds promising! It's on my wish list, thank you! X
ReplyDeletei LOVE russian red! one of my best friends that i used to work with started wearing it just before i left home and i swear i asked her 3 times what she was wearing and she kept saying russian red, so when i got to the states i picked it up ASAP. it's the perfect slightly deeper bright red.

I love red period, Russian or not lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly beautiful selection of make up products here. I'm such a sucker for visually pleasing items, I'm not exactly sure how that makes me sound but hopefully its not too bad. How do you find the NARS Cream Blush Sophie? Penny Lane is one I have often looked at in store but have never made the commitment to purchasing it.
