The previous studio tour was done six months after moving in, and after twelve months of working in the studio, it's really nice to see how things have changed.
I thought I was really into a minimal workspace but maybe I was wrong. I keep the studio neat and tidy, storing most things out of sight, yet the walls are becoming increasingly colourful with a mix of prints and postcards from fellow creatives and props like crystals, glass trinket boxes, and plants.
I've become really comfortable in this environment; the studio has developed into an awesome little creative space that works perfectly for the shop. After resolving major storage issues, I've found a lovely harmony between form and function.
There is nothing not to love here! You've done a fantastic job with the studio Sophie! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have such a nice workplace

Stunning. Really jealous of your space.
ReplyDeleteYour studio looks wonderful! I love the anatomy print behind your computer, may I ask where you've bought that?
ReplyDeleteYou are so freaking organised, I love it! Such a nice, light filled space x
ReplyDeleteSo so jealous of this gorgeous studio! I particularly love the way you store your findings in those cute little jars on that shelf <3 x

Ooh what a beautiful light space! Very inspiring...I can't wait until I have enough space for my studio, haha. Love those little bottles you store things in, cute!

Not jealous at all.
ReplyDeleteFuck it, yes I am. It's clean, bright, airy and just beautiful and how come when I have a studio it ends up a mess?
ReplyDeleteIt is so airy, pretty and organized. It must be a joy to work there.

This is beautiful! Those windows tho...
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect space to work in. Vibrant!
ReplyDeleteI love how much natural light you have! It's so hot in Texas where I live, so my house has a solar screens on the windows to keep out the heat, which also keeps out the light, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful space! I'm struggling with finding the exact "type" of studio I'm best working in. My mind prefers minimalistic but my physical being is totally that of a young art-class mess maker. It's nice to hear that you find your space evolving around you!
ReplyDeleteMuch Love,

This is so beautiful! My work doesn't really require a studio space, but this is so beautiful I would live here!
ReplyDeleteI love the shelf with all your sewing bits and bobs, such a lovely space to work!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to try HP Sprout but I have yet to find it anywhere in Canada. It looks like such a fascinating concept and I truly hope they keep moving forward with it.

This looks great! I wish I had a work space like this, looks so creativity-inducing and exciting! xx

I WISH I had a place like that! x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :))
ReplyDeleteThank you - I really enjoy working in there.
ReplyDeleteAhh, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. The prints were presents.. but I'm pretty sure they were purchased at the Natural History Museum? I'm certain you could track these down online; I think quite a few places might stock them :))
ReplyDeleteYour space feels bright and airy. I recently changed my office space from a dark tan to a light and cheerful yellow. it's amazing how much a change in paint color can effect your mood. I now enjoy being in my office while before it just kind of left me depressed.
ReplyDeleteIt took me long enough! I've always been tidy.. but I'm never really been the organised sort.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Those little bottles are awesome for storing tiny findings.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I really appreciate the studio and the space it gives me.
ReplyDeleteOh dear.. ha! I love that you love my little studio. Believe me though, I do mess it up when I'm working in there.. I just make sure I tidy it all before I take photographs ;))
ReplyDeleteIt really is - it's a breath of fresh air.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW RIGHT? Our apartment has the same windows and they are just BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteIt gets VERY hot in our apartment, it faces the sun ALL DAY LONG and it's like living in a greenhouse.. so I feel you (although I doubt it gets as hot as Texas!)
ReplyDeleteI think it's best just to let things happen. I like minimal and neat, which this kind of is.. except it's got a lot more colour than I expected, to be honest. I think because our apartment is quite minimal, it's nice to have somewhere with a bit more colour.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great charity shop find, it really has come in handy!
ReplyDeleteI'm still getting the hang of it, I haven't been able to give it enough time to properly test out as I've been so busy lately but I hope to find some time to play around with it a bit more.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely feels inspiring to work in this studio; I walk into it every day feeling refreshed.
ReplyDeleteSome day you MIGHT :))
ReplyDeleteI wish the walls weren't magnolia.. but I'm too lazy to paint it. Maybe sometime in summer when I find a bit of spare time but, to be honest, it doesn't bother me too much. I like adding colour with prints rather than having colour on the actual walls although you're right, colour definitely plays a bit role in creativity.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, where did you get those little geometric storage boxes? They're so neat!

Your studio rules! I like the plants, light, everything. I hope to one day have my own studio. That cat rug is majorly fantastic too haha.
ReplyDeleteWoow! It's a perfect place to work in
ReplyDeleteAdri.
xx
I love this space, and those geometric boxes are perfect! x
ReplyDeleteYour studio is so beautiful. I am so so jealous
