A new year! A fresh start! Even though you don't have to wait for a new year to make changes; the start of a fresh twelve months is a prime opportunity to identify your priorities, set some goals, and invest in make big, bold changes that will improve your life. I definitely set a little time aside at the beginning of each year to make plans, it helps me feel positive about where I'm heading with both my life and work, and sets me on the right path to achieving my goals.

List Your Priorities

You can evaluate your commitments at any time of the year but the beginning of a new one feels like a fresh start. This is a prime opportunity to identify your passions and commit to your ambitions for the coming months. The best thing you can do for yourself is set yourself clear intentions for the year ahead so you know exactly what you're aiming for.

Edit Your Life

Start the year with a fresh slate by editing your life; declutter your space and purge your belongings to free up time in your life for the things you value the most. Don't just get rid of unwanted possessions, simply your digital life too. Reevaluate how you spend your free time and prioritise the things that make you the most happy.

Refresh Your Space

After a decluttering spree there's a chance to redecorate and refresh your home. Spend a little time on styling your space; giving careful thought to the layout and decor. Applying a fresh coat of paint, rearranging the furniture, or restyling the shelves can make a huge difference to how you feel about your home environment.

Simplify Your Style

The beginning of a new year is a fantastic opportunity to start building a wardrobe you love. Adopt the anti-capsule approach to style by curating your clothing to build a wardrobe that fits your lifestyle. But don't just stop at the clothes you wear; streamline your beauty products too to create an effective and efficient routine.

The start of a new year gives you a chance to commit to making choices that will improve your health. Moving your body, nourishing it well; a healthy diet nourishes a healthy mind. January is the start of Veganuary and the opportunity to try a plant-based diet, which has been shown to prevent, treat, and reverse some of the leading causes of death, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. Adopt a new mantra this year: "eat food, not too much, mostly plants."

Adopt New Spending Habits

Consider how you've spent your money over the past year: Have you invested in quality products? Have your purchases added value to your life? Have you spent money on things or experiences? If you're unhappy with the way you've spent your money or wish you'd saved more; in the new year evaluate your spending habits, create a budget, and commit to money-saving habits.

Create Systems

Make life easier for yourself by creating systems and work flows Automate as many tasks as possible; schedule house work; plan meals; establish routines, and ban multi-tasking. Find ways to relieve the pressure of your to-do list by readdressing your work-life balance.

Invest In Self-Care

This year, make a promise to be kinder to yourself. Learn ways to de-stress and adopt healthier work habits - no more "hustling" or forgetting to eat lunch! Learn to be more self-aware by listening to your body and mind; ditch toxic relationships and fill your day with simple pleasures. Invest in your creativity and carve out space in your life for daily self-care.
