Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment
I don't tend to change my hair care routine, when I find something that works for me I stick with it. Why change something that isn't broken, right? I did, however, recently switch shampoo because a friend was so insistent that I try Big. I was totally dubious - put salt in my hair? No. Way. Wouldn't that dry it out? - luckily LUSH is one of the nicest places to shop and they hand samples out like they are candy. I tried it and totally fell in love. It smells amazing (salty coconut - odd but divine) and turns your hair into a dream.
I condition using the Aussie Mega Instant Conditioner, which pairs really well with Big. Together they leave my hair feeling so divine I stop people and make them stroke my hair.
When I've blow dried I apply the Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment, which helps control frizz and creates shine. I'm not certain whether it protects against heat so I have a bottle of Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide for when/if my hair starts looking distressed because despite having naturally straight hair I do use GHD Stylers.
Other products I occasionally use are the Enrapture Encode Totem Styler with the Tony & Guy Classic Spray Gel For Curls but my hair hates curls, they fall out within minutes unless I use heavy duty hairspray and a whole lot of hope.
Do you have any hair care products you couldn't live without?
LUSH Big Shampoo
Aussie Mega Instant Conditioner
Glad to read that you've been enjoy LUSH's Big shampoo; they have a pop-up stall just outside the place I work, and I'm tempted to try one of their products, everything smells so good whenever I walk past! It's surprising that they put salt in the shampoo but it's good that it is not drying your hair haha.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful blog btw! I like the minimalist photos :)
LUSH Big is wicked.. although I've switched now since the salt was drying my hair out a little too much. I think used in moderation it's an awesome shampoo.
ReplyDeleteThank you - glad you like the blog.
