In The Morning

January 20, 2014

I'm such a slowpoke in the morning; even though I have a full hour between waking and leaving the house, I still manage to dawdle, bleary eyed, through my morning routine. So I like to keep things as simple as possible without compromising on quality when it comes to morning skin care.

I haven't quite got the hang of incorporating a regular toner into my routine so the Oqibo Purifying Cleanser & Toner takes the thinking out of it. If I have time I apply a little La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo, otherwise I skip straight to moisturising with the Vichy Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream, which has a fast absorbing lightweight formula making it ideal for daily use. After applying make-up I use a little Smith's Rosebud Salve for a simple, fresh look and finally apply The Body Shop Almond Hand Cream, an important final step especially in winter time.

Lovely! I'm the same in the morning and am after a 2 in 1 cleanser and toner!

Ooh, I haven't tried the Vichy cream yet, though I loved the serum. I'm still working through various other creams though. Putting it on the wishlist.

Lovely morning routine! I'm dying to try the body shop hand creams and I'm massive fan of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo! x

  4. The Oquibo cleanser & toner sounds great for mornings when I have just a little time for my skincare routine. Also I love the Effaclar Duo too, and I need it everyday now :)

  8. Hi Sophie. Thanks so much for the mention... glad to hear we're making the morning just that this less of challenge! (good coffee, good cleanser and good mascara is my daily 'get me through 'till evening'). Have been hearing so much great stuff about the La Roche-Posay range, they look to be really good skin health advocates. Good to read your take on things.

Giada and Charleigh - we'd be really happy to arrange samples if you wanted to try the cleanser. Twitter is probably the best place to catch us @oqibo.

    Thanks again Sophie,
    N x
