Products On Trial #3: First Impressions

I rarely buy make-up because I relish that feeling you get when you completely use up a product and all you have left is the empty shell of a container. When I noticed a couple of my beloved make-up items had reached the end of their days, I had the perfect excuse to indulge in some new beauty purchases.

NARS Dual Intensity Blush in Fervor
I'm pretty sure I meant to pick this up in Adoration instead of Fervor but I'm glad I made that mistake. Although this blush duo looks a little intense in the pan, on the skin they look beautiful. I love the flexibility of these dual blushes, you can use either shade on their own or blended together, and apply them wet or dry for a different effect. I bought this to replace my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush (RIP) and so far I'm happy with my decision.

NARS Limited Edition Christopher Kane Blush in Silent Nude
I spent a lot of time searching for swatches and reviews of this product only to find very little information. The colour looked perfect for what I was after - a natural bronzer/blush ideal for pale complexions - yet all the swatches I found online were done on fair-medium skin tones, which barely showed on the skin. I took a chance and it paid off; NARS Silent Nude is absolutely beautiful, it adds a subtle, natural warmth and it's perfect for pale skin.

Anatomicals Cruisin' For A Snoozin' Sleep Balm
I have not been sleeping well lately at all. I know this is just a pot of beeswax and essential oils but it's often the simplest of tricks that work the best. I'm going to apply this to pulse points before I go to sleep to help me unwind and get a better night's rest. So far I keep forgetting to use it..

Dr. Bronner Organic Lip Balm
I have numerous lip balms yet they all seem to be in pots rather than sticks; I needed something I could throw in my bag and use when I'm out instead of sticking my fingers into a pot all the time. I'm not sure how excited you can get over a lip balm but I'm really impressed with this one by Dr. Bronner. The balm feels really nourishing and comfortable on the lips, and it doesn't contain any synthetic ingredients.
