The mild weather we're having in the UK this winter has really affected my wardrobe inspiration. I went heavy on the layers last winter with bulky coats and scarves. This year things are lighter, both in terms of clothing but also colour palette.
Having said that, dark academia style is creeping back into my outfit inspiration. It's interesting to see how I've circled back to this classic style that I used to wear so often. Although I lean more into the button-downs and loafers, and away from the check trousers and tweed blazers.
Over the last year, I've incorporated more colour and patterns into my wardrobe. Mostly green shades including a neon hue (which is one of my favourite colours!) It'll be interesting to see how this develops to become part of my typically all-black outfits.
I'm not seeing anything in my style inspiration that my wardrobe desperately needs. I do have a short list of basics that need replacing and a couple of playful pieces I'd like to add. But I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my current wardrobe to avoid unnecessary shopping.
